In Response To: Re: You'll have to ask Jasper ()

Hi Chuck;

I mean J.B. site email does not work not yours.

That's kinda what I had figured...

May I be so bold to suggest... Click on one of his posts here in the forum and then on his email address within that post and try that method? Mention your difficulties in contacting via the website and perhaps that can be attended to. Or click on this link here... Which should open up your mail program and address a new message to Jasper based on his most recent post here.

I new knew about the puck and where it is stored for market. Just was asking for sake of education for some of the crew.

Ok, I hope I haven't spoiled that for you! For that was not my intent.

I could not contack him on there site.

Gotcha! I understand that clearly now. Thanks for elaborating on that!

Your email iam sure is well.

The Spammers sure seem to be able to get in touch with me at will! =(

Thanks Take Care

You're welcome, anytime.

To further elaborate for you, but you probably already know this...

I collect both Heuer and Porsche Design Orfina (I suspect you know this)... If there are other questions I might be able to answer about either the 510.5xx series of Heuer's or the Orfina Porsche Design 5100's and 7750's (I own 4 PD-O 5100's and a pair of 7750's) please feel free to ask away here (unless you think it would be better to have a private conversation).

I am more limited in the questions I can answer on the ite which Jasper has on his site, but I can tell you from personal experience [as a collector, owner & sometimes documentor of both brands and multiple examples/variants of the 510.5xx Heuers and the PD-O's] that it's my estimation that the item Jasper has is a Hybrid (what the folks at Omega would call - Home|Work) "put-together" item.

I did point this out to Jasper via email and he seems to agree, but he is looking to sell it. So if it intrests you, let him know (either email him via one of his posts here or post a message here titled "JASPER BITTER - Please contact me!" as the title. Perhaps you can work something out.

It would be an interesting and very effective daily wearer watch, and could also be a very useful "parts watch" which may be able to improve two otherwise "troubled" 5100's: if you have or can find a 510.500/501 good condition case that needs a movement, and or a Orifina Porsche Design movement puck with a trashed case, you could buy this watch, fix those other two, and sell off the unused parts on eBay.

Just a thought.

Peter

I hope you and yours are well, Good Hunting!

Oh, and just for Yucks (Yucks is a technical term meaning Sh*t's and Giggles) here is a link to my deconstruction of a supposed Porsche Design Orfina from August 2004.
