At the moment, I can't find the listing, but I seem to recall that the last dashboard Autavia sold on ebay went in the mid-$500 range.
I imagine that spending almost $50 on a stopwatch seemed like a lot of money back in 1959. So tell us -- what was the car that you were rallying?? Was the Autavia up to the task??
Thanks for the inquiry.

: I have a Heuer Autovia timer with sweep seconds
: hand and two smaller dials registering
: minutes (60) and hours (12). I bought it on
: Jan. 10, 1959 for $49.40. This is a
: dash-mounted timer, originally meant to be
: used for rallies. Any idea what it is worth?
