all these are prone to being exposed to water, salt and the sun, so there are some really rough looking ones that will trade at around 30% to 40% of these amounts.

subject to the condition, mechanical and cosmetic, that price ($1200) sounds low. good Solunagraphs have recently traded in the $1400 to $1800 range, with the occasional Mareograph / Seafarer (Reference 2446C) breaking the $2000 mark. good Seafarers (older modles) seem to start around the $1800 mark, and they make into the $2500 range.
