Bill (or others who may have relevant experiences):
I have recently come to acquire a genuine Heuer / NSA bracelet, for a Monaco. The springs in the clasp seem to be "spung", meaning that the "thingie" that slides out (to make the bracelet looser) does not return to its original position (to make the bracelet tighter). [I hope that you can make sense of this description -- ??] So the bracelet will open properly, and will close properly (and securely), but the "fit" provided by the spring / slider mechanism is "gone".
I am told that this Monaco had been "put away" for 30 years, and this seems credible? Might this have occured (spring getting killed) because the Monaco sat in the red box, with the bracelet stretched open, for so many years?
Are you or others able to fix such a bracelet, which is otherwise in excellent condition?
Thanks,
Jeff
