I have never owned or inspected one of these, but from what I see on the internet, the Monte Carlos issued by British armed forces had a fixed (non-rotating) bezel. Some did not have the "Heuer" or "Monte Carlo" names on the dials, even though they were made by Heuer. I imagine that the pilot stationed who-knows-where did not need to be reminded of the good life in Monte Carlo!!
: I just purchased a 3 button Heuer Monte Carlo
: dash mount stopwatch. It is former British
: Ministry of Defense issue. It does not have
: the rotating bezel indicator. is this common
: of MOD issue Heuers, I have not noticed this
: in photos of Monte Carlo on line.
: Thanks
