Here is my second "first" attempt at posting from this early, early morning.
Hello gentlemen,
It's Patty from California. I just wanted to check in and say hello and see how my "onthedash" friends are doing and to wish you all a wonderful holiday season.
It's been a while since we last blogged together--I guess almost a year?? I since decided to go back to grad school full time. It was the most splendid and rich time being back in school and learning from the masters of theology and philosophy. I graduated with my Masters in Religion this past June. While the schooling cost me over 20K, it was a priceless time and experience.
Now, I'm back in the recording studio working on that new album I threated to release! I hope to have something completed by March/April 2008. I will keep you posted.
As for vintage watch collecting I have not pursued anything new. I still have my two beauties: Carerra, wht/wht, three reg., deci dial (purchased from Mike White), and my gorgeous Abercrombie, three reg, screw back. Sometimes I feel I should "pass them forward"--to allow another Heuer enthusiast to enjoy them since they reside in my safe and rarely enjoy outings for fear that I will damage them (I'm pretty rough on watches). The Carerra made it out to the Vegas poker tables twice this year but that's it.
Speaking of poker, I had to cool it a bit so I could focus on school. Now, I have music and other writing projects in sight. Indeed, poker takes a back seat to these passions. But, I admit, I played poker this past Friday, Saturday and...well, yes, even Sunday.
Well friends, California is lovely and life is good--for this I'm grateful. May you all have a great holiday season! Cheers for 2008.
With affection,
Patty
