hi guys
my 1000 series olive drab is marked 501 (please see main pic on jeff's site). it's definitely not been redone not least because the dial is also olive drab. i think it's more likely that heuer didn't produce a 502 caseback until they'd made a few, or found that demand was higher than anticipated and run out or, as the caseback is replaced if tag heuer service the watch, it's just been returned for service and they ran out of 502 backs.
