You guys know your chronographs!! This one is a Seiko, Reference 5717 . . . Seiko's first chronograph . . . this sample from December 1964. It's a strange one, but sensible as a first chronograph for Seiko. Three hands -- hour and minute hands for the time-of-day; a second hand for the chronograph; no registers. Concept must be to mark the minutes with the rotating bezel; use the chronograph to mark the seconds; the one button is for start / stop / reset . . . no time-in / time-out capability.
