Hurray! When I returned home Saturday eve from a biz trip, an e-bay won Autavia GMT manual (2446C) was there to greet me! This is my first vintage Heuer so now I feel like a member in good standing of this great forum, instead of a guest. This particular watch came from the estate of Shirley Louise Tanner, a pilot of renown from California which makes it that much more exciting to wear. Shirley only wore it when piloting aircraft or her glider so the watch is in very good shape with just a bit of slight fading to the bright pepsi bezel. The watch keeps very accurate time, in fact it rivals my Breitling chronometer being within a few seconds a day, so far! However, the white chrono seconds hand returns to about one second after 12 instead of directly on 12. Is this an easy fix or does it require full servicing? Any suggestions? The minute and hours subdials both return to their proper positions and the seconds subdial works fine. I'll try to post a pic this weekend. Now I want an Autavia automatic with silver dial and orange hands . . . .uh, oh, got the Heuer bug!
