Hello to all Heuer enthusiasts,
Well, here it is, the $75 USD ($2,500 NTD) Auto Rallye with serial no. 112XXX I got from a gentleman here in Taiwan. As Jeff has mentioned before, "condition only matters with the second one", I am beyond ecstatic to have gotten my first Auto Rallye. To make a long story short, this AR was destined to be junked with a cluster of old timing instruments from a oceanography college here on the island. The seller thought the piece looked interesting and saved it from being dumped into a local landfill. The starting bid was $1,800 NTD, about $53 USD! Well, the Buy-It-Now price of $2,500 BTD, about $75 USD with shipping, was just too good to pass up! It may not be the prettiest piece in my collection. However, by far, this purchase has been the most rewarding and satisfying experience since I started collecting Heuer dash watches!
