Just got home from Christmas with the in-laws to find a small package in the mailbox. I was searching e-bay, and came across a lot from a small auction house, for two watches with racing logos, For $18 I figured it was worth a shot.
Here's what I got (also a link below)

My new watch is identical to the one on e-bay, including the Champion logo. Not quite a Carrera, but very stylish, and it should look great with a black perforated band. While the case is clean, this one needs a little work--both second hands run for a bit, then stop when they get near 12 o'clock.

The second watch is a black, two register, date at six, chrono, what Jeff called a poor man's Heuer, probably from LeJour. But the cool thing is that the black dial reads Tabatip Shadow Formula One Racing.
Tabatip is (unfortunately) a cigarette brand that sponsored the Shadow team from 1978 to 1980. The drivers ranged from Danny Ongias in a one-off drive to the late Elio DeAngelis. You may also remember the all-black Shadow FI and Can Am cars from 1973 on, with the likes of George Follmer driving.
This watch is really minty--except for the nasty old black band--and seems to be working and keeping good time. A Hirsch Carbon should dress it up nicely.
Thanks for indulging, and I'll post proper pics when I can find my digital camera.
