Hello Marc & Ron, and Welcome to the OnTheDash Heuer Forum...
If you all haven't had the chance to check out OnTheDash you will find a lot of information on line. Most of it reasonably well organized... The sections of most interest will be the "Chronograph Master Reference Table" (which we backstage call MOAT or the Mother Of All Tables), the "Guide to Chrono's" and the "Catalogs". Of course all of these areas are being revised and updated as we learn things and piece together disseparate information.
But what Ron said is absolutely correct, For much of the 1960's and 1970's Heuer had models named after famous race courses. Monaco and Carrera are the most famous and some of the more obscure are Pasadena (Riverside), Kentucky (for Horse Racing) and Cortina. Montreal was no different for the course (I believe used for Can-Am racing) nearby.
Here is a table a bunch of us have been working on that better describes the known models of Montreals:

Eventually we hope to have everything cross indexed so that if you click on a catalog listing it will take you to the proper catalog and page, etc... But for now, it's a start...
Enjoy and check out the MOAT!
