Jeff, for pics for the forum you can use the Coolpix995 and save some money. Check out ebay. It has an incredible macro feature. I started using the remote control cord which makes for some really still pics.

The Minolta A1, along with image stabalization and good macro function, has manual color space, white balance, and other controls to fine tune the image lighting to be correct.
