I'm new on this forum, and looking for some advice. I have a
: Autavia Heuer 11630P divers watch (with decompression
: bezel)(model from 78 i think. After 25 years it .....something
: inside snapped/broke. What would be the value of this watch now?
:
: Welcome aboard . . . thanks for posting your message. These
: 11630P chronographs are rare, and the nice ones carry a
: relatively high price. It is difficult to provide any estimate
: of the value, without seeing some photos. If I had to provide a
: rough estimate / broad range of values, for a 11630P chronograph
: that is working properly, I would say $1,500 to $3,500,
: depending on the mechanical and cosmetic condition.
:
For the repairs they are asking approx 300,- euro's
: My suggestion is that, under almost any possible scenario, it
: would be well worth having this chronograph repaired. If it ran
: for 25 years, and has suddenly quit, that suggests that it is
: probably a relatively minor repair (or time for the long-overdue
: overhaul). The 300 euros sounds about right, for a cleaning,
: overhaul, etc. If the cosmetic condition is good, then this 300
: euro investment will give you a chrono that will be worth many
: times that amount!
: Thank you again for posting your message, and please keep us
: informed!!
