Re: Carrera 1553S, what kind of hands and dials were availab

Hi Pekka
I raised this issue back on the 10th of June in this forum (i'm guessing with the very same ebay auction)
Other more experienced members have concluded this is probably a parts bin watch. You must have also sensed there was something not quite right here as you posted pretty much the same question. Good luck chasing down a nice genuine Cal.15 Carrera (they do come up every month or 2)

: This one's another watch I could consider getting one day if I find
: a nice one at good price. There's one on the sale on eBay at the
: moment that seems to be in excellent condition (NOS according to
: seller). However it does not look like the one listed on this
: site.

: It's basically this model:
:

: The tachymeter ring and hands are different though. The sellers
: description says that it has white tachymeter ring but in the
: pictures there's a linear 0-100 ring that might be white or dial
: color (hard to tell). Also the hands look like they are reverse
: color compared to the one pictured above. The lume is there but
: blue/black and silver have been swapped like in 1553N hands.

: Was there a model like this produced or have some parts been
: swapped? Would TAG still supply blue Tachy ring and hands as
: spare parts?
