I Am in NYC; Went to IWJG Show Today; Amazing, but . . .

I am in New York City on vacation, and managed to visit the International Watch and Jewelry Guild (IWJG) show this morning . . . amazing show . . . dozens of every vintage Rolex and Patek that you could possibly imagine . . . literally thousands of interesting watches.

but the bad news is that there were probably 15 to 20 vintage Heuers in the room, of which exactly two were even tempting -- a second execution screw-back Autavia (two-register) and a very original, very faded Autavia diver (P-bezel, on bracelet). I ended up passing on both of them. I was also looking for manual wind Zeniths, Movado, etc., of which there were none.

I will write a more complete report, on the plane ride back to Atlanta, and I will plan to post some photos. Great fun to see the big-name watches; disappointing about the lack of Heuers.
