I proudly present my latest buy, a Heuer flyback chrono, Valjoux caliber 230, the Royal Norwegian Airforce.
You all know the Bundeswehr version, I am still in the process of gathering info on the Norwegian use of this watch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping the "74" of the markings indicates 1974, as that would make me and my watch two Norwegians issued the same year :D
I tried to buy this exact watch over a year ago from a Norwegian local owner (not sure if it was the original owner, I believe not). But I was too late. I was definitely not happy that day, my girlfriend remembers me coming home swearing. Which is not my usual mood. But recently I had the opportunity of buying the watch from the collector who was faster than me. Though he made sure to make quite a profit, how could I say no to that?
