I understand the feeling. While watching the original "Day of the Jackal", supposedly set in 1962, there is a scene where the protagonist is crossing from Italy to France in an ALFA Giulia Spider (I think). He passes an ALFA Duetto (the car from The Graduate), which was not released until 1966. My girlfriend at the time thought I was crazy...
: On my recent 24 hour return flight from Australia i had a chance to
: catch up on some current/near current movies using the planes
: onboard entertainment system. One of the movies i saw was
: "The Bank Job", a dramatized recreation of an actual
: bank robbery that took place in central London around 1973.
: During the course of the movie there is a cut away shot of the
: movies main charactor ( played by Jason Statham ) looking
: closely at the time on his watch. It's only a breif close-up but
: i was very disappointed to see the props department had armed
: Jason with a Tag Heuer Monaco in McQueen colors instead of going
: the extra yard to find an original period Monaco. Ok , kinda
: picky on my behalf but i'm sure all of you would have felt the
: same sense of joy had he thet used the "Real Deal".
: Can happily recommend the movie none the less - Darren
