In some of the catalogs where they are showing early versions of a particular model, we do see these sorts of curiosities. Maybe this was a prototype or a unique early watch; maybe they painted it blue on the photo, so that everyone would notice the extra hand.
If you like the look, then give it a go . . . you can always go back to the more common look.
