I few days ago, you posted a message indicating that you have seen several of the "fat-lugged" Carrera 12 Datos, as shown below, and believe that they are authentic Heuers (rather than Clebars with replacement dial / bridge / case-back). This is interesting, as I have never seen this case used for the Heuers (only for the Clebars). Let me see what I can learn, from our best expert here in the U.S.
I notice that the one currently on auction seems to be going cheap (with several hours remaining). I wonder whether this might be attributable to concerns about authenticity, preference for the skinnier lugs, or prevailing economic conditions? Or maybe it will "pop" toward the end of the auction.
In any event, thanks for raising this issue of the "fat-lugged" Datos . . . I think that they are great looking; I will like them even better if they are authentic!!
