We have probably taken this discussion about as far as the evidence will take us, at least until we can get some information / recollections from those who were with the Heuer company, during this period. I have forwarded links to our "best expert" and we will see what he has to say about the "fat lugs".

: Hi Jeff, well the watch case design has very similar lines to the
: normal carrera which does look good for authenticity. i don't
: like the crude inner movement holder this does not look like
: something heuer would have done. But the thing is that i have
: seen half a dozen of these all are the same and have correct
: signed casebacks and movements. Again i don't know what the
: Clebars have inside them, if they are "heuer" signed
: then it would suggest the actual heuers maybe redials but if
: they are Celbar signed or like some other branded watch made by
: heuer "logo removed" it would point to the Heuer
: versions more genuine. It would be hard for a Fraudster to
: obtain numerous Clebar examples to re-dial and even harder to
: obtain correct signed heuer bridges, as said before all the
: heuer examples i have seen are the same apart from either pain
: white dial or Black/white. The dial logos look ok with tiny
: serifs on the tops of the letters
: It has also been mentioned the some dials have more sunken
: sub-dials. I wonder if Heuer may have changed dial manufactures
: at the time as this happened at rolex a few time showing tiny
: differences.
: I do have one of these examples and clearly would prefer it to be
: genuine but also i would rather have the mystery solved. I have
: had it for a long time and never offered it for sale in the fear
: of it not being genuine.
: I will take some photos over the next few days.
