Jeff, thanks for your very comprehensive reporting on the president-elect's watch choices. I was intrigued after learning about Obama's relationship with his SS agents.

I have a college friend who's father is retired Secret Service that was delighted to acquire a pair of the chronographs for me - in exchange for a providing a third watch to him for his troubles. I suspect that these watches will eventually become easier to purchase by the general public - especially since the proceeds go to charity. In the mean time, the novelty value of these watches are at their highest. It would be interesting to see what the actual free market value is.
