2008 was a tough year for many of us, especially with the loss of Chuck Maddox in May. Chuck inspired the creation of OnTheDash and these discussion forums, and enriched them every day with his amazing contributions. Additionally, we have all been impacted by the economic crisis, and regardless of which side of the Atlantic (or Pacific) we may find ourselves on, we have seen volatile currency exchange rates and some pressure on prices.

Still, our vintage Heuer / OnTheDash / Chronocentric community has held together well and even grown, and we have had much to celebrate during 2008 -- new friendships, our first collectors' Summit, the opening of the TAG-Heuer Museum, the publication of Arno's book, new information and discoveries about our beloved vintage Heuers, new discussion forum software, new models from TAG-Heuer that celebrate Heuer's heritage, and so on and so forth.

So Happy New Year to all our readers, writers, photographers, collectors, buyers, sellers and lurkers and best wishes for a fantastic 2009!!
