I don't believe that Heuer manufactured for Lecoultre, or vice versa. They were just "look-alikes".

I don't know the details of which company was "knocking off" the other, but there were a couple of different Lecoultre chronos that looked very similar to the Heuers. One that I remember is the manual wind GMT -- LeCoultre had a model that looked very similar to the Heuer Autavia GMT. Both used the Valjoux 72C; both had the very colorful red / blue 24-hour bezels. They looked almost identical.
