I have been a F1 quartz owner for many years and am all new to the world of fine mechanical timepieces and forums. Maybe someone can help.
I recently impulse bought a beautiful heuer monaco (7 yr old re-edition with cert.) from a reputable London shop whilst on a trip to the UK. Whilst resetting the time, the date changed on to the next day. Simple enough I thought, but I discovered I couldn't wind back the date dial alone and so I had to circled the hours around and around until the date came back again. All very labourious, but here's the issue... whilst doing this, the chrono reset button popped off in my hand. I've pushed it back on again but understandibly it is still a bit looose and doesn't inspire me with confidence. Is this just a coincidence and is there a simple way I can screw the pusher back myself or do I have to go to the hassle of sending the watch back in the post to the UK for repair? The watch drops just over 60 seconds a day as well? Does this sound generally acceptable or would be enough reason to send back?
Any advice appreciated. Thx.
