I have owned various Oris models over the years, and have always valued their solidity over their designs. The tool watch dials always seem to have one or more unbalanced elements, and I agree with the "less is more" maxim. When Oris relaunched here, it emphasized its "hi mech" roots and for a long time it was really the only affordable mechanical watch in the US. I think it has gone through a few speedbumps on its way to becoming more of a convenional brand competing in the more expensive segment of the market.
btw: isn't the Chronoris an historical model?
