There were 2,000 of these Ford Split Lap Unit 77 chronographs produced.
I suspect that they suffer from a low survival rate, because of the LCD displays, etc. There is also the fact that these chronographs are not marked "Heuer", so the person who finds one of these in the sock drawer has no hint of the brand / value / history. Of course, if they look at the case-back, and Google what they see "Ford Split Lap Unit 77", they will find some information.
