My source once bought 6, and I have heard said that there was a final batch of 15 being sold from the government supplier to a collector at one time in the 80s,
these were apparently used watches that had been returned by the pilots.
From time to time they surface among the collectors here in Norway. I have seen only this one, another Norwegian collector i talked to has had his hands on maybe 5 through the years.
Unfortunately, I have no know surplus dealer in Norway, or anyone else for that matter, who can get you one. I believe all belong to private collections. So you could be lucky and one will find its way to the forums.
Something fishy about that case back, definitely. At least from the few examples I've seen.
Best,
Anders
