I had been watching it for quite a while while it had a BIN price that I thought was a bit steep so I waited & it ended up at auction - a great theory on my part other than I paid close to the BIN price I had stayed clear off. A sad refelction on the perils of getting caught up in the heat of an auction.
I have a vague recollection of some threads on this watch in the past with a conclusion that it was genuine (was there one in the Heuer museum?). I do hope it is real or I have just wasted my money.
Its a very unusual watch that I guess many people wont like - personally I think it looks a great watch if slightly unusual but I will be interesting to see what reaction it gets when I wear it.
Apparantly its from 1967 (so the listing said), but OTD doesnt have a 67 catalogue so I wondered if anyone could shed any more light on it?
Jeff - I couldnt see it anywhere in the Carrera listings - just wondered if it was appearing on your new forthcoming mother of all tables (MOAT seems like a decent acronym for it!).
