Just a quick note to express my appreciation and respect for the work you, Mark and all the others have done to create and fine-tune this table.
Well done and like we say here in Belgium and France "CHAPEAU" !!
Keep up the good work but don't forget to relax ;-)
Best regards,
Abel.
: We first promised an expanded Carrera Reference Table five years
: ago, and have been working on this Table almost every day for
: the past eight weeks, so it is a great pleasure to publish this
: Updated Carrera Reference Table . Of course, we have uncovered
: some fascinating new information (and trivia) as we have worked
: on this project, but we can save this for further discussions.
: [For example, isn't it neat that the Table shows exactly 101
: versions of the Heuer Carrera!!]
: As we publish this long-awaited update of the Carrera Reference
: Table, let me thank those who have contributed most
: significantly to this project:
: Mark Moss was the driving force behind this updated Table, and was
: the primary researcher and editor for the update project . . .
: we exchanged drafts, comments, and corrections on a near-daily
: basis for the last eight weeks. It was a pleasure working with
: you on this project. Let's take a few days off, and then it will
: be Camaro time!!
: Hans Schrag provided valuable insights into the history of the
: Carreras and how these chronographs developed over the years.
: Hans has more information in his memory than we can possibly
: capture in any Reference Table or website, and we thank him for
: generously sharing this information with our community of
: collectors.
: Arno Haslinger provided helpful comments on drafts of this Table,
: and his book (Heuer Chronographen) was an excellent resource in
: producing this Table. So tell me, Arno . . . how do you like Row
: E-7?
: Mathilde Tournois (at the TAG-Heuer Museum and archives) provided
: catalog scans and other information. As we approach the 50th
: Anniversary of the Carrera [only five years away], we look
: forward to many more projects with our friends at TAG-Heuer to
: celebrate this fantastic chronograph.
: Bruce Mackie got us started with these Reference Tables several
: years ago . . . the more we work on the revisions and updates,
: the more we are amazed at the quality and coverage of your
: original work.
: Thanks to everyone else who assisted . . . Par, Derek, David and
: many others, with information, photos, watches and
: encouragement.
: As we state in the introduction to the Table, publication of this
: updated Table is only the beginning of the work, and we look
: forward to receiving your comments, questions, photos, serial
: numbers, scans, and other feedback as we continue to develop
: this Table.
: You can view the Table in the frame below, or click here --
