I have a Monza 150.501 with a Caliber 15 in black chrome (not the economy model) and am trying to figure out a fair value to sell it for and was thinking that I would ebay it.
I have had the watch since new, dial is in excellent condition with all the original hands (also in excellent condition). The case is in average condition showing 30 years of dings, scuffs, scratches, etc but presents well overall. Pushers are in excellent condition, chrono works perfectly (hands reset to zero), keeps decent time, etc.
The one issue that the watch has is that the crown was replaced some time ago and the plating has flaked off. Aside from being unsightly, when you freewheel it backwards, it will occasionally engage the movement and move the hands. This really hasn't been much of an issue but I am trying to decide what to do about it now that it will go up for sale.
Anyway, any thoughts on the value and wether I should attempt to repair the crown issue before I post it for sale? Also, is there any recommended source for suitable replacements as Tag is certainly not going to have a crown.
Thanks in advance for any help!
