You can scroll down a bit to see some posts about what the color "Fume" really is and Mark's customarily knowledgeable reply on the topic of the various finishes used for the fume color--Carrera, Silverstone, and Daytona. The nice things about the 573s is that the 70s modernist design cues--no lugs, tapered case, and flashy colors, are tempered by the moderate size of the watch. In my opinion, it is a watch that really defies categorization, sometimes looking retro, other times looking very modern, if not 100% contemporary.
