I have become a freak about grinding--it seems equally important as the condition and original characteristics of the dial. It seems even when the grinding is done "correctly," there is a bit of degredation with regard to the crispness of the case. I think most of us would rather have the original case with some nicks and scratches--even fairly beaten up, than a repolished case. I don't know, perhaps, I'm in the minority...
I wish we could issue a global ban on bad polishing--or, better yet, any polishing.
