Re: An "Interesting" Thing About His "Private" Auctions

Yes, have some experience. Has been selling reprints of Heuer manuals/ catalogs/ warranty books for at least 3 years.

I have e-mail correspondence with them where they specifically state that their warranty books are originals, despite many sellers complaining that they weren't. In response to some of that negative feedback, the seller confirmed that they were copies and blamed the buyers for not asking the right questions to work out if they were genuine! Despite this (and maybe because those exchanges were in German and they figured I wouldn't bother translating) they told me they were real. Draw your own conclusions.

Because the auctions are private, you can't look back and see how many of these booklets they had sold and which auctions they buyers were complaining about.

Now, maybe there's a good explanation...but maybe not.
