Thanks, yes, and I used to spend my summer holidays in various parts of Britain, have seen more of Britain than Germany, I would say.
Yes, I meant the piece that connects the clasp to the rest of the bracelet. I like the Siffert Autavia that I bought, but I would really like to find the original parts for the watch, especially the pushers, crown and hand for the second. I wonder whether the Vintage Repair Service of Tag Heuer in La Chaux-de-Fonds would be of help. I would give it away for a complete service anyway. I have sent them an e-mail, but didn't get an answer yet. What would you or the other experts say?? Or any other recommendations?
Best wishes,
oliver
: The piece that connects the clasp to the rest of the bracelet? I am
: English and I don't know what I would call that either!
: "Connecting bit" is as good as anything else. I've
: spent a lot of time in Germany and with native German speakers
: and your English is as good as I've seen - whereas I'd rather
: speak than write German nowadays as it's easier to cover up the
: fact I've forgotten the genders of half the nouns I know!!
