Since you can't provide a model number, perhaps you can post a picture(?). Otherwise, you may not get very many responses since your description is way too vague I'm afraid. Heuer serial numbers are not as "organized" like some other brands. Posting pics is actually pretty easy. All you need is a digital camera and then follow the tutorial at the top of this page. The picture must be hosted on the net prior to adding it here. That's easy too, just go to one of the free host sites like photobucket.com. You might also want to take a gander at the Heuer catalogs posted on this (OTD) great web-site. If your watch is from the 1970's (or even early to mid 80's) chances are it's in one of the catalogs. Click on the "catalogs" icon on the left side of this site's main (opening) page and start searching. If you find the model, put a "Want to buy" (WTB) post on the "Sales Forum" forum also on this site. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck!
