I have a black non-Pasadena Pasadena that is a 7750 chrono, but is also stamped;
750-502
280 SL
and has both day and date.
This seems at odds with the two examples in black that you show. Were the day/date or plain date options on both? I've had it for twenty years and it's a daily wearer so kind of beat up, but I feel naked without it.
