Just out of curiosity, what was the condition and eBay sale price of the 2444-style Mareographe? Do you by any chance still have a URL for the closed auction?
I have an eBay saved search for "Heuer Mareographe" that should send me an email whenever an auction with those words appears, and for some reason I never got an email alert about it, so I missed this auction. I'd be very interested to see the auction page, or know anything about it, in part to help me get an idea of the value of my Mareographe.
: We are accustomed to seeing a variety of the Abercrombie &
: Fitch Seafarers, with several different versions of cases,
: dials, hands and even movements (V71 or V72). But most of the
: Heuer Mareographes that we see are the same style, with the
: 2446C type of case. Well, with the sale of a 2444-style Heuer
: Mareographe on ebay this week, it seemed like a good time to
: search through the hard drive and put together a new and
: expanded Heuer Mareographe section of OnTheDash .
: While there are a few versions of the Abercrombie Seafarer for
: which we have not seen the equivalent Heuer Mareographe, it is
: interesting to see just how many versions of the Mareographe we
: can find.
: Enjoy this new section and please send me photos of any additional
: samples that you might be able to find.
