A New Feature I haven't even talked to Jeff & Derek about yet... I'd like to propose that we establish a Forum Calendar... One where we can note "Scan Days", plans for electronic chat sessions, "Flea Market" posting day's and the like. This is something that other forums do and I think we should too... With that in mind, I've used iCal on the Mac and a free calendar hosting service (www.icalx.com) to put this together: http://www.icalx.com/html/cmaddox/month.php?cal=Heuer32Forum&getdate=20030312 Now the first thing you'll note is this calendar is empty! Now begins the discussion... Nearly everyone else does a Scan Day on Friday... I think we'd get lost in the shuffle if we followed suit... Why don't we have our Scan Day on Monday so that we have that early week pick-me-up of fresh scans to drool over... For Friday, perhaps we'll have a rotating "Discussion topic" that people can ponder and reply to with their thoughts over the weekend at their leasure. What do you all think? We also should seek out a method to have a regular "live" chat. These have been extremely popular at other forums, and I think they could be here too. Does anyone have suggestions for a _ready to go_ solution for this or should we start searching? Another thing that we can include on this table are Watch Fairs and NAWCC conventions and the like. Especially if any of the principals here are going to be attending. A good chance to arrange face to face meetings. Anyway, look over the calendar and reply with ideas, suggestions, etc... Thanks in advance! -- Chuck |
