Checking a couple of Carreras with the calipers, I find that:- original, unmarked crowns measure in the 6.7 to 6.8 mm range;
- original crowns, marked with the "Heuer" shield, seems to be in this same 6.7 to 6.8 mm range; and
- "service" (aftermarket) crowns marked with the "Heuer" shield are smaller, in the 5.9 to 6.0 mm range.
As you might expect, these smaller "service" crowns have a very different look and feel than the larger original ones.
