Think there is room for 2 definations perhaps. One which is "classic" version as you describe and one which is a put together variant. I'd be more than hpapy to buy either so long as dial, hands are original lume is colour matched and original parts (not service hands). Case must be unpolished and as crisp as a very crisp thing and have all correct model number and serials...
But nothing else should qualify and a "classic" nos should be worth slightly more than a "put together" on in my opinion.
