: Hi Darryn - Discussing values is very much a part of this
: community. In fact there is a published price guide which is one
: of the main resources on the OTD site. If you have not already
: seen it, it is accessed from the home page. The guide price for
: a 1162 T "Siffert" is $3,000 to over $4,000 for a good
: one. Note that this is 2 years old. Prices have been higher than
: the guide but have also suffered more recently from what can be
: assumed to be the effects of the global recession.
: In my opinion, the example you show with a MH bezel is worth the
: same as one with a Tachy bezel because the bezel can be change
: quite easily. Condition is difficult to asses from the small
: pictures but what we can see is that it has the correct early
: dial and hands, good bezel and a period bracelet which is
: correct for this watch. Sticking my neck out now, I would
: estimate that a good sample with all correct parts, not
: necessarily mint or even new old stock and certainly not a well
: worn sample would be worth...............around $4,500. Now you
: need to decide what it is worth to you.
: regards
