I have a Heuver Monte Carlo 16.8433 chronometer
that I used in T&D Rallying from 1965 to 1984.
I used it last year and currently have it set to
gain 0.4 seconds in a 20 hour span. During the
'60's and '70's I would set it to run 0.2 second
fast over 24 hours. It still holds and runs well.
It has a broken "crystal" which Heuer says they
will fix for $30 plus shipping. I have retired
from rallying and am selling off all of my rally
equipment This is obviously a pre TAG unit.
Anyone interested or know what it is worth?

: Hi Fellow Heuer Enthusiasts,
: WOW, 3 Monte Carlo just showed up on eBay! Gosh
: Darn It, all are of the later 'plastic'
: version!!! If I am not wrong, all three
: current offerings have 'cracked' bezel. Is
: this a common problem for the 'plastic'
: version of these beautiful dash watches?
: What is the ultimate cause(s) of these
: cracks? Age? Exposure to elements?
: Careless/Abuse? Other? Is it possible to get
: replacement part (crystal, crown, bezel) for
: these later version watches? Any help or
: input will be greatly appreciated!
