Monaco 40th Anniversary re-issue-Low price-comments??

Spotted on a certain auction site, this is selling with a buy it now price of around £4300 and if i'm correct these were selling for £6,300 last year when issued. I was always dubious as to that high price and I realise that only 1000 were produced but I suspect that a lot of people were thinking that for that price they could buy the original Monaco!...comments (oh and has been up for sale for a couple of weeks now)??
