Hi David,
its a common misunderstanding to beleive the GMT hand is adjustable. The Gmt hand actually travels at half the speed of the hour hand, hence making a full revolution once every 24 hours. Its the outer 'pepsi' bezel which you rotate to line up the GMT hand and indicate the desired time zone.
For example, currently at midnight in Denmark, my home town of Melbourne is 10 hours ahead - therefore in Denmark i set the bezel mark of 10 at the top centre of the watch (12 o'clock position) and from then on Melbourne's time is is read from the GMT & minute hands.
