TAG HEUER is a well known and successful Watch- Company since 1985 when TAG Group bought Watch Company Heuer.
In the Watch Industry we have two Groups :
1. “Watch Manufacture” , nearly 100% of all parts are developed and produced by the company itself , like Rolex, Lange, Patek Phillip, Omega, etc.
2. “Watch- Companies” or “ Watch Makers” like TAG HEUER, which develop and produce by itself or produce by suppliers but mainly buy components from suppliers for own products and production.
Also Heuer never was a “Watch Manufacture”, but established an outstanding Image and Reputation – also in Quality and Technique - during the years.
Movements for example came from Valjoux, Lemania, Landeron
Also Rolex used the Valjoux 72 in the “Daytona”
The same to TAG HEUER , not a “Watch Manufacture” but known for Ideas, Design Leadership, Quality And Top Marketing. They use movements from ETA for example in the same way as other Top- Brands today.
It is also important, that “ Made in Swiss” and other Trademarks can only be used if the product is produced under this conditions (for example a fixed % being manufactured inside the country and not outside)
TAG HEUER is a Watch Maker which produce in big quantities – much more than HEUER-
and belongs to the Big-Players in the market. That means Tag HEUER is in the focus of a lot people and potential buyers because they look for – and want to buy - Watch Art.
They are also interested in this Brand because of the Combination of “TAG and HEUER”
- History and Modern Times – in one Brand.
