I had a (Påske Frokost) Easter Lunch to go to today.
It involves many rounds of the open style Danish sandwich's - thinly sliced dark rye bread with hardy toppings (vegetarians need not apply) raw, pickled herring to start with, fried breaded sole with shrimps and mayo, pork liver pate' with bacon and mushrooms and finishing with sliced tenderloin pork and fried onions. The food in itself is a treat but every course is washed down with shots of flavouver snaps (35-50% alcohol) all of this is dealt with ample servings of Easter beer - yes i said easter beer, its darker, heavier and stronger than a standard lager beer as is the perfect match for the heavy food consumed. The whole affair takes place over a few hours but you end up with a warm alcohol glow and a food hangover in the same vain as you associate with thanksgivings or christmas dinner.
A great day all round and a fitting farwell to and old friend - this Siffert Autavia is the same one i'm selling at the moment over on Chronotader.
Happy easter to you all - Darren
