I think you owe him a refund! Anyway that looks more like a 1500 to me the 1000s had a different bracelet and when Heuer became Tag Heuer the 1000s became 1500 and the bracelet changed ever so slightly. I have the exact watch only ss and mdoes not have 1500 on the dial but it says 1500 on the literature when I bought it new about nine years ago. Its the exact bracelet shape and dial and bezel only in silver tone.
