Heuer stopwatch

Hi all,

I am new here and would like some help with an old Heuer stopwatch. My father have had it for as long as I can remember and now I would like to know a few things about it. The barrel bridge says: Ed.Heuer & Co Swiss, serial number 255987, unadjusted 7 jewels and escape wheel bridge is marked Heuer, movement in nickel finish. The case is rather polished and probably a chromed base metal case, inside the hinged case back it says Ed.Heuer & Co Swiss, serial number 259871. I would like to know the year and also how the bezel is removed as the crystal is broken, it has hairlines all over but still in the bezel. The watch has never been used and never been opened untill now. I will need to replace the neck screw retaining the stem as it is missing. Running as new though it probably could use a cleaning and oiling.
Thanks in advance!

Michael, Sweden
