Hi Abel - I am a great fan of the black PVD finish so this is a real feast for my eyes. I am also in the camp that is pro restoration as long as it is in keeping with the original specification. In my opinion, re-PVD is no different from a case re-polish and we sure see loads of those. Personally, I prefer to leave the dial and hands untouched retaining the patina of the lume (which you have obviously done). If the dial and hands are original but in very poor condition I would consider a NOS dial and hands (if available) however I draw the line at a re-dial. To date, I have never seen one that been good enough.
This piece of your is certainly more attractive in its present state and I love it. Its a bit like having a classic/vintage car - most people seem to want to restore them rather than drive them around in their original, very well worn condition. The latter seem to reside in garages and under tarpaulins patiently waiting for the care and attention of the owner to bring them back to life. When they are finally brought back to life, they are in most cases more valuable as I am sure is the case with your piece.
Regards
Paul
